Everton FC's Lee Carsley at Finch Farm presenting DSL with a cheque

You may remember some time ago we informed you that the Everton Midfielder Lee Carsley, who has a young son with Down syndrome had put up for auction his Planet Hollywood leather jacket, signed by the Everton squad.

Lee stated that the proceeds of the auction would go to Down Syndrome Liverpool. It has taken some time for us to arrange with Lee and Everton a suitable date for us to receive the money Lee raised from the auction.

We eventually managed to organise a time on Friday May 9th at Everton’s Finch Farm training ground where Lee presented us with a cheque for £1000.

Shauna Hogan and Daniel Daley both keen Evertonians managed to get time off from school to meet Lee and discuss tactics with him for the last game of the season – something must have rubbed off!.

This is a significant sum raised for us by Lee and on behalf of DSL I would like to pass on to him our thanks and appreciation.
