Dear Members

I am very pleased to tell you we have been able to organise a weekend half day training session on Educational and Health Care Plans (EHCPs).

An education, health and care (EHC) plan is for children and young people aged up to 25 who need more support than is available through special educational needs support.

EHC plans are legal documents which identify educational, health and social needs and set out the additional support to meet those needs. If you would like your childs EHCP to be in place by September then it is recommended that you start the application process now.

The training is kindly being delivered by Sarah Dewick from PSS (Person Shaped Support). The session will be very informal with lots of opportunities to ask questions.
