DSL Football Coaching

Our football coaching provides opportunities for our young people with Down Syndrome and their siblings to have fun, make new friendships and benefit from developing gross motor skills. The football coaching also enables young people to appreciate the importance of active lifestyles. 

May be suitable for age 4+ years. Taster session is free then £10 for a block of 5 sessions. 

This is an indoor and outdoor activity and siblings are welcome

Success of the football coaching

On behalf of the many young people who have Down Syndrome that Alan has coached over 18 years, we would like to thank Alan for his incredible dedication, mentoring and kindness. We would also like to thank Mal for looking after the subscriptions for 18 years.


Meet the Accredited Football Coaches

 Our Saturday morning group has been running for a number of years. Our founding coach Alan Atkinson recently handed the lead coaching reins to James and Declan who continue Alan’s philosophy of inclusiveness and patience. 

 James and Declan are brilliant with the kids! They both have Level 1 FA football coaching qualifications and make sure that the kids have an enjoyable experience while learning basic footballing skills. Everybody has a chance interact and score a goal!
