DSL Liverpool holds a range of social events on a regular basis. Our events have proven to be very successful, which has been reinforced through the many positive reviews we receive. As trustees, we feel our social events are important so families can come together, have fun, and share experiences with each other.
Down Syndrome Liverpool organize summer trips for our young people and adults, carers and families. Transport is provided at a designated meeting place via coaches and is a fun filled day much appreciated by our members and their families.
As trustees, we pride ourselves with the dedication and commitment we place on our social events. We feel, these enable our young people and adults to come together, which supports their emotional wellbeing as they grow and flourish into adulthood.
Down Syndrome Liverpool have a Christmas party each year held at the Titanic Hotel Stanley Dock Liverpool. This is a very special time for our members where everyone comes together to enjoy the festive time as a community.
Throughout the year DSL holds events at the Yellow Sub at Brunswick business park. This is a privately booked event open to our members and families, enabling everyone to meet in a safe, fun environment for young people 0-12 years.
Down Syndrome Liverpool also holds a number of social events for our young adults each year. This is open to members of Down Syndrome Liverpool aimed at teenagers, adults their carers and families.
DSL also provide a range of other events. This has included; our amazing red carpet evening balls, race nights, fashion shows, Halloween parties, pirate princess parties, staged acting themed events, and our very important annual general meeting.
Our Family Fun Day was a huge success with many fabulous activities that was enjoyed by everyone! Heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported the day by giving donations, their time to help and attending the event. We raised an amazing £4000 which will be used to enrich the lives of people with Down Syndrome
Another fun filled day at our annual summer trip to Alton Towers with Down Syndrome Liverpool. Everyone had lots of smiles on their faces regardless of the rainy downpour!
It is so wonderful to be appreciated by so many of our parent and carers!
This year in Alton Towers some of our families shared their experiences of the Sea Life Centre on the day trip. The interactive shows and the vast range of animals to see was amazing! It was also a wonderful experience handling the starfish!

Today reminded us all why these events are so important for our children and young adults. They give an array of social opportunities, allowing our young ones to be creative, make new friends, and demonstrate independence in a non-judgemental and fun environment.

After 2 years we were finally able to hold our Blossom Ball at the Titanic hotel Liverpool.
Our guests looked fabulous, and everyone was so excited! It was especially lovely to see our young people dressed up and ready to party!
As trustees we were overwhelmed by everyone's generosity in supporting DSL. A huge thanks to all who donated and sponsors who generously gave raffle prizes, which helped us to raise over £8,000 for our charity.
We were also entertained by the fabulous Merseyboys who had us dancing the night away thank you! Also, special thanks to our compere Paul Hazelby, photographer Liam Deveney, magician Spencer Lynch and DJ Ian Haskell, who were all amazing!
Our young people had missed out on celebrating leaving school due to lockdown, so DSL organised a prom to mark all their wonderful academic and social achievements throughout their education
The trustees organised an Easter competition for our young people and their families during lockdown. Everyone has so much fun designing and making their Easter bonnets and were send an Easter Hamper for their wonderful efforts!
The trustees also organised a Valentines cookie competition for our young people and their families during lockdown. Everyone loved taking part and shared their amazing cookies with us online.
